Connect a ShipHero account

Create a new ShipHero connection, save its credentials, and keep its tokens fresh.

An account is one connection to ShipHero. Each account holds its own ShipHero tokens, users, and data. This guide covers creating a connection and keeping it healthy.

Admin-only

The Accounts screen is admin-only, and only super admins can create a new connection. A server-only list names the super admins. See who can see what.

Read the connection status

Open Settings → Accounts. Each account shows one of three states:

  • Not Connected (red): a ShipHero token is missing.
  • No Credentials (amber): tokens exist, but no saved login.
  • Connected (green): tokens and login both exist.

The goal of this flow is to move an account to Connected.

Create a new connection

Only super admins see the Create New Connection button. It opens a wizard that connects ShipHero, invites the first users, and starts the account. Follow the wizard through to the end. It provisions the account and kicks off its first data pulls.

Onboarding runs through N8N

Account creation and the first user invites route through N8N. For the end-to-end steps the automation performs, see New Brand Onboarding.

Manage an existing account

Open an account to manage it:

  • Rename the connection.
  • Manage credentials to save the ShipHero login and tokens. This is what moves an account from No Credentials to Connected.
  • Regenerate tokens to refresh the ShipHero tokens when they expire or need rotating.
  • Connect a user to add someone to this account (see Invite and manage users).
  • Revoke or re-enable a user's access.
  • Delete the connection.

Delete a connection

Delete removes everything

Deleting a connection cascades. It removes the account's orders, shipments, SKUs, purchase orders, and user links, and it cannot be undone. Only delete a connection you are certain should be gone.
